The task was to present a designed book portfolio for the Swedish sculptor and photographer Anders Krisár. I wanted to let his incredible pictures tell their own story, and the design och the book to give them the means to. The book was to be secondary, but compliment and display his work in an impactful way. I chose to display some of the photographs using fold-outs to give the reader a greater experience. I also wanted to make sure the book was not too large for him to fit in a bag and bring with him.
Using asymmetric typography and very narrow margins to make the base grid and layout, I wanted to keep the navigation and text as clean as possible. Complementing the art, making it easy to find what you're looking for and easy to read the texts. Giving his art space to pop.
