I'm Amanda, a Creative Lead / Designer working from Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve had the good fortune of working many years with design, leading creative teams and organising projects – something I really love! I have worked with everything from large scale campaigns delivering 800+ files to drawing logotypes by hand and designing mobile first websites and managing large design systems. I’ve built entire brands from scratch and designed for brands like SAS, Nextory, Ideal of Sweden, Triss, Eurojackpot, Lotto, Keno, Vikinglotto, Casino Cosmopol, Vegas, Peka, Stjärnägg, Kulturvärden, Gränby Centrum and more.
I really love what I do. I’m a passionate person whose goal is to feel happy, curious and inspired at work each day. Working towards being a better leader and designer, I guide my team to create greatness and reach their full potential!
My greatest strength is being a designer unicorn. I have a unique skillset combining my design experience with project planning and leading creative teams. I know how to make a creative team happy and effective!
Inspiring and leading creative teams, organising design production workflows, timeless brand designs, mobile first web designs, advanced app prototyping, bold typography, storytelling and project management.
If you ever find yourself at a Viking Age market the likelihood of you running into me is very high! I’m a viking history nerd who, like superheroes, live a double life. I travel the world to attend viking markets and events, living in period tents, sewing historically accurate clothing based on real Viking Age fragments, cooking food over an open fire, brewing my own mead, plant dyeing fabrics and absorbing all possible knowledge about the tiniest fabric fragments in the 8-9th century Birka graves. You can follow my journey through the Viking Age on Instagram: @theupsalaviking
I do creative lead and design consulting since 2011. I work with branding, UX/UI design, design systems, mobile first web designs, banners, social media content, organising design processes, branding strategy, editorial design, print, illustrations, photography, film/edit & event designs.
I'd love to hear what ideas you have!

I started my own company in 2011, the year before I started studying at Berghs School of Communication. I realised every client needs a great designer that also knows strategy, planning and how to manage and be successful in a design project over time. I work with every step in the project process, from mapping todays status, setting up goals and timelines, sketching storyboards and creative pitch material, ideation, to the nitty gritty design details in a fresh logotype or an entirely new brand book and website. Everyone wants to be efficient but also have a great result that you feel is just right, hiring me would give your brand that much needed attention!
I do everything from scratch by discovering your brand, asking the right questions and setting up goals, a brief, lead workshops, pitch sketches and ideas, calculate the needed budget, produce the flawless designs from start to finish, keep contact with partners and adjust content for all channels. Also give you a full guide to make sure you can keep it up on your own, making you fully independent.
I always work with creating amazing design, enthusiasm & a great deal of passion!
Our collaboration started in 2015 and it's a bliss working with the people at EFK. The new logo, visual identity, communication guidelines and interior design were finalised in 2016. Since then they have also updated their new website.
With EFK I put a lot of effort into the process before I started designing, to make sure we clearly defined their needs and goals. I wanted to help EFK to lead by example in an industry that can otherwise be a bit dull and stale. An update was needed and we wanted to break new ground and show everyone that EFK is a force to be reckoned with. Updating the logotype, brand colors and materials, fonts, web design, stationary, profile products, car and door foliage, interior design, photographic style and how to communicate in social media.
I worked with all things digital design in web, app and other products at Wasder. Discovering new ways to help the game lovers of the world find each other, share their gaming experience and creating a better gaming community for everyone.
I've worked with the design and build in Webflow for our token website. The WAS token was created to give players the most rewarding experience we could think of. We have designed several fun and innovative ways to both earn and spend. But WAS is more than just another token, its potential to support inclusivity and give holders the freedom to express themselves makes it game-changing.
I worked as Creative Lead & Designer together with a team of creatives at Edisen, formerly Chimney. In spring 2021 we started a new branch at Edisen together to deliver a new experience and offering graphic production to the clients. My main focus was our Swedish client Svenska Spel with their sub brands Triss, Keno, Eurojackpot, Lotto, Vikinglotto, Casino Cosmopol and more. Leading a team of digital producers, motions artists, copywriters, strategists, delivery and graphic designers. I worked very hands on with designs and close to my team, to make sure we were on brand in all projects, and to ensure that we delivered the creative height and superb quality of The Unskippable Content Company. And I had a lot of fun doing it!
I worked with external/internal communication and marketing, as well as some IT administration. It included working with our company website, newsletter, intranet, managing business events and fairs, LinkedIn account, graphic design and production of document layout, PowerPoints, brochures, marketing material, event material, photography and development of the quality management system Canea and administration of other internal systems.
I mainly worked in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel, Office365, Teams, SharePoint, Lime CRM, Canea and more.
I worked in a project focusing on children's co-creation and participation in their contact with the social services. I designed and produced the website www.pratamedbarn.nu. Design, layout, planning, building in Webflow, filming, mixing sound, cutting and editing all video content for the site. The script, texts and methods are created by the research leader Josefin Bernhardsson together with a group of chosen experts in their respective field.
Through workshops and with experts we could design and produce a methodic material to help the social workers in their daily routines to make sure children have the opportunity to participate as they are entitled to. We also created a method of implementing these routines in accordance to the new laws to come with “Barnkonventionen” the same year.
I also filmed, mixed and edited video lectures and workshops outside of this project. As well as created the graphic material and invitations for the fall workshops, social media content and photography for the company Facebook page.
I worked as a research assistant in a project ordered by the Swedish Government and Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting, where we set out to map the prerequisites for discovering and to prevent mental illness among people above 65, in the Stockholm municipality.
I planned the project discovery phase, scheduled interviews, booked meetings, managed contact lists, answered emails and phone calls, planned travels, kept record of the processes, taped interviews, transcribed interviews, administrated forms and signatures, took care of IT- and software problems (inDesign, Office365, computers, printers, recording devices and so on), template layout for research reports in inDesign, and other graphics material for presentations and reports. I also had the role as personal assistant to my research manager.
I used to run the seasonal Café Truten on the island Rödlöga in the Stockholm archipelago, and for quite some time. It started out as my summer job and turned into me running the place. I managed the staff schedule, setting up routines and checklists, setting the menu, train each employee in their role, teach staff about our concept and carefully chosen eco ingredients, run our social media accounts and the brand identity in signage, menu boards and more.
Café Truten is a small island summer café with an all homemade menu. That feeling of coming home to grandmother and having a freshly baked pie. They make everything from crumble pies, vanilla sauce, cinnamon buns, sandwiches, hamburger bread, sourdough breads to smoothies and granola. All made in this old fishing cottage, four hours from Stockholm city. The Café Truten team is the best couple of locals, usually growing up on the island during summer and having their first job at Café Truten. It's a wonderful community, and an amazing place to visit in the summer! I feel fortunate to have been in charge of this golden nugget café.
I did one of my internships for the Berghs School of Communication education at Food & Friends, the nerdy food agency. I worked in projects with packaging design, restaurant concepts, Christmas campaigns, the company Christmas gift, content and layouts for pitches, sketching designs and illustrations for PowerPoints. Working with brands such as Stjärnägg and Peka.
In spring 2013 I joined the team at SWE as a graphic design trainee, for my internship at Berghs School of Communication. During 4 weeks I produced content and material for social media, client pitches, presentations, photo editing, one of my biggest clients being SAS, and also working with the SWE brand and web. Mentored by Ann-Marie Wessman.
SWE has today transitioned into DNAB.
During my last year at GUC, working with my examination project, I was headhunted to PMC to design the new brand, webshop and academy website. I worked as a graphic designer with the brand, website, webshop, production of content for the sites, photography and editing, administration of the webshop and stock. I also produced the newsletter, worked with the client register, academy presentations, printed material for the courses, store branding and creating guidelines for all of these tasks.
During my internship at GUC I joined the Zellout team as a junior designer where I worked on different illustration projects and a OOH campaign for Gränby Centrum. The campaign focus was to invite new customers to visit Gränby Centrum. By hanging pink hangers with a discount offer around the city center, people could find them and bring them to receive the discount. Around 50 hangers was made and hung around Uppsala city center.
I studied graphic design at Berghs 2012-2014 after moving to Stockholm from Uppsala. I worked on school projects with real clients, close to the industry, with teachers from the biggest companies in design and communication. We worked solo, in pairs, and in groups of different disciplines to learn how to handle every kind of project. Brands such as Whyred, V.AVE.S.R., Kurppa Hosk, Moderna Museet, RFSU, IKEA, Delicato, Mäklarhuset, JC, WTC, Sunpocket, Summit, Clarion Hotel Sign, Yamaha, Änglamark, Kulturhuset, Svenska Golfförbundet and more.
With teachers such as Marcus Gärde, Helena Leach, Pompe Hedengren, Anders Örtegren, Erik Leonsson, P-G Hylén, Charlotta Rydholm, Dennis Dahlqvist, Lasse Ermalm, AK von Malmborg, Clara Terne, Joel Dittrich, Clas von Sydow, Stefan Moritz, Jacob Kimvall, Tarik Saleh, Anna-Pi Lennstrand, Fredrik Lundgren, Walter Naeslund, Minja Smajic, Maria Perers, Susanna Barrett, Christian Altmann, Nina Ullmaja, Richard Årlin, Barbro Ohlson-Smith, Patrik Hambraeus, Patrik Gebhardt, Christopher Waldekrantz, Tobias Lundqvist, Nicole van Rooij Ekström, Sara Kristoffersson, Andreas Berg and more. It was wonderful to have all of these amazing and talented people to teach you!

"School of the Year" in Future Lions: 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018
Our group was shortlisted in Future Lions 2014 for the concept video "Yamaha - Play it Yourself". In collaboration with Fredrika Frenkiel, Catalina Aguilera, Fanny Svensson Enbacken, David Dennerkrans, Caroline Hjort, Sidona Tesfai och Linnéa Gardefjord during my studies.
In one of the school projects we planned and produced video content for Whyred's Flagship Store in Stockholm during Fashion Week. With inspiration from Ingemar Bergman and Fårö my group created a mood video for the women's spring/summer collection to show off a sneak peek of the new garments and accessories.
In collaboration with Kim Carlos Rehn, Anna Turdell, Andreas Sandberg and Heidi Myllyviita.
Studying at GUC gave me the base knowledge of design and communication, giving me a great start with an education tailored for the media and communications industry. I knew early on that I wanted to work with design for a living, so I chose this media focused high school education Graphic Communication. We studied everything from logotype designs, book layouts, different printing processes, web designs and HTML, animations, photography, illustrations and expo/event productions.
